Reading Men Walking and Talking was set up to provide a safe space for blokes to connect - and to offer an antidote to the growing mental health crisis affecting around one in six males in the UK. On Monday, August 3, they were were joined by MP Olivia Bailey at their meeting spot at the Tilehurst Triangle. A spokesman for Reading Men Walking and Talking told The Chronicle: "Men's mental health impacts every community. In the UK, 75 per cent of suicides are men — the more we can do to reduce that, the better." Having someone with a public platform stand alongside us and help give men's mental health a voice is hugely appreciated.
