Police respond to 'disturbance' on Bolton street after 'common assault'

Police attended the scene in an attempt to find a location where they had heard there had been a disturbance.
This turned out to be 'common assault,' according to a GMP spokesperson.

There were two police vehicles on Derby Street, including a van and a car.
'Physical' common assault is the application of physical force to a person, whether or not that force causes any damage.
