The authority has launched a public consultation on the future of Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) across Merseyside, with one proposal introducing "fair use limits" on the number of visits households can make annually. MRWA said the changes are being considered as part of a review of how recycling centres should operate in the future. The review comes ahead of the expiry of the current waste management and recycling contract in 2029. Lesley Worswick, chief executive of MRWA, said: "Our Recycling Centres are used more than three million times each year and provide an important service for households across Merseyside. Information and feedback forms will also be available at recycling centres, libraries and other community locations across Merseyside.
