Campaigners are urging Mid Sussex District Council to save the two mature plane trees outside The Martlets Shopping Centre in Burgess Hill town centre. A spokesperson from Mid Sussex District Council commented: “The Planning Committee considered the planning application to redevelop the Martlets Shopping Centre and noted the loss of the plane trees."
