Cheshire Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested after a lorry was involved in a police chase after failing to stop on the A49. Footage of a large police presence in the area near the A41 near Whitchurch was shared on social media sites this morning (August 10). The lorry was spotted being chased by a large number of police vehicles, including police cars, motorcycles, and unmarked vehicles. Cheshire Police confirmed that the driver was eventually arrested after he attempted to escape on foot. A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At around 11am on Monday 10 August, officers from Cheshire Police attempted to stop a white lorry on the A49 in Sandiway.
