British Transport Police said that at about 8pm on Saturday, August 1, a man racially abused another man on a service travelling between Liverpool Central and Hooton. He then got off the train at Green Lane station in Birkenhead. A statement from British Transport Police read: "Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that could assist their investigation.
