Police confirmed they were dealing with a serious collision inside the Queensway Tunnel which took place around 1pm this afternoon (August 11). Officers were contacted just before 1.05pm with reports of a one vehicle collision involving an off-road bike on the Birkenhead to Liverpool carriageway. The tunnel is currently closed as the incident is being dealt with. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes. Merseyside Police said more updates will be issued "when available".
