The Phillies announced Monday that one of their deadline additions is headed to the injured list. Righty Caleb Kilian has been diagnosed with a strained left oblique and is now on the 15-day injured list. Kilian, 29, came to Philadelphia alongside infielder Luis Arraez in a deal headlined by pitching prospect Ramon Marquez. Kilian was rocked for four earned runs in just one-third of an inning against the Nationals on Aug. 5. More than half of the 30 runs he’s yielded this season (16) have come in just four outings.
