A COUNCILLOR says a decision not to call in plans for a housing development in Burntwood “validates” the move to block planning permission for the scheme. “Decisions about Burntwood’s green belt, school safety and road infrastructure belong at the local level. Our stance extends to any other speculative green belt developments in and around Burntwood. “Going forward, we will vigorously defend our green belt, infrastructure and community against all similar applications. “We will continue standing shoulder to shoulder with our residents, the Burntwood Action Group, and local schools to protect our town.”
