A COUNCILLOR has hailed the success of markets in Lichfield – and says plans are being put in place to build on them even further. Lichfield City Council said the Friday and Saturday events were currently operating at full capacity, while Tuesdays are also growing with three new traders recently taking up pitches. “A young traders market could give the next generation of entrepreneurs an opportunity to test their ideas, meet customers and gain valuable experience. Supporting them means supporting independent traders, encouraging people to shop locally and helping to maintain a busy and welcoming city centre. I would encourage residents to visit, speak to the traders and discover the variety available in the heart of Lichfield.”
