The proposals, submitted to Flintshire County Council, will include four padel courts, with an additional singles court and three pickleball courts. The site will also have a reception, changing rooms, café area and parking spaces – the supporting hub will be constructed using repurposed shipping containers. There will also be 37 parking spaces, along with secure and covered cycle parking for 10 bicycles. A design and access statement, prepared by DR Architects Ltd on behalf of Pick Padel Ltd, states: “The primary function of the development is to provide a purpose-built padel and pickleball facility that enhances the local sports offering. “The inclusion of four padel courts, one singles padel court, and three pickleball courts ensures that the facility caters to a wide range of users, from beginners to experienced players.
