JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp. Board of Directors unanimously approved the South Central Dakota Regional Council dues for 2027 at more than $36,000. ADVERTISEMENTThe South Central Dakota Regional Council provides planning and development services, technical assistance, information coordination and program administration to communities, businesses and local governments around the region, according to an information handout by the Regional Council. The Regional Council can also seek funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for cities, counties and park districts to help with disaster mitigation. South Central Dakota Regional Council Executive Director Traci Redlin said the Regional Council has helped townships with zoning and ordinances for data centers. She said the Regional Council was awarded a $500,000 grant in June from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
