The ratings are then recorded and certified by the Food Standards Agency. Each rating is based on how an establishment fares across food handling, the conditions of its facilities, and the systems in place to monitor food safety. The Lexicon Pizza Express was praised online by the Public Protection Partnership (PPP) for achieving the high score. The PPP, a public body that helps the council deliver services across environmental health, trading standards and licensing, wrote on Tuesday, August 11: "Congratulations to the team at Pizza Express in the Lexicon in Bracknell who received a 5 rated Food Hygiene Rating Score following their food hygiene inspection which took place last week."
