The Cut river begins from a fish pond in North Ascot, runs north of Lambrook School in Winkfield Row through Garth Meadows, then north through Binfield to Bray, where it flows into the River Thames.
A Bracknell News reporter witnessed a brook near Peacock Lane appearing to be contaminated on a visit the following day.
“The Cut river and its surrounding riparian woodlands are vital ecological corridors supporting immense biodiversity.
The petition requests 24/7 environmental monitoring systems and CCTV surveillance to be installed along industrial boundaries to “instantly capture and trace illegal pollution spikes.”
A mirroring petition set up by Rio Romanul on Change.org has received 51 signatures.
