This summer has been an unforgettable season of service, learning, and accomplishment for everyone involved in the Rockland Conservation & Service Corps (RCSC). This year, 26 dedicated corps members completed 9100 hours of service across 11 sites countywide, each offering its own unique challenges and opportunities. These collaborations have helped deepen their understanding of environmental issues while exposing them to potential pathways in conservation, science, and public service. As I look back on the season, I am grateful for the passion and energy each member contributed to the program. Their commitment has made a real and lasting difference throughout Rockland County, leaving our parks, waterways, and public spaces stronger and more resilient.
