CiNaRe: The radiant sun of Telugu literature

Born on July 29, 1931, in the remote village of Hanumajipet in present-day Karimnagar district, Dr Cingireddi Narayana Reddy, fondly known as CiNaRe, remains one of the most celebrated figures in Telugu literature.
He was honoured for his magnum opus, Viswambhara, one of the landmarks of modern Telugu literature.
CiNaRe entered the Telugu film industry in 1962 as a lyricist with the film Gulebakavali Katha.
Andhra University, Kakatiya University, Dr B R Ambedkar University, Meerut University, and Nagarjuna University conferred honorary doctorates upon him.
Indeed, the moonlight CiNaRe spread across the landscape of Telugu literature will continue to illuminate generations to come.
