The Giants selected catcher Zach Morgan onto the major league roster for tonight’s game against Houston. Susan Slusser of The San Francisco Chronicle first reported this evening that Morgan was joining the club. The Giants added him to the system in 2022, selecting him in the seventh round out of Fresno State. He’s a right-handed hitter who has mostly put the ball in play with minimal impact in his minor league career. That includes a .269/.369/.370 slash with a pair of home runs across 131 trips between the top two minor league levels this season.
