New Albany, Indiana - Charles (Charlie) Threlkel, 82, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at Baptist Floyd Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He visited her every day at Green Valley Care Center, spending countless hours by her side. As fate would have it, Charlie first met Betty while performing when he spotted a beautiful young woman wearing a red dress. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Dixie Threlkel, along with other beloved family members. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana, at 12:00 pm.
