Paderu: The government will constitute a high-level committee comprising Collectors and Superintendents of Police of Alluri Sitarama Raju, Polavaram and Parvathipuram Manyam districts to examine issues concerning tribal rights and submit a comprehensive report to the government. The decision was announced during a meeting chaired by Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and Tribal Welfare Minister and District In-charge Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani at the Sankaran Auditorium in Paderu on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by tribal association leaders, legal experts, public representatives, intellectuals and members of tribal communities. Speaking on the occasion, Tribal Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani said the government was giving top priority to tribal issues. Responding to the concerns, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha reaffirmed the State government’s commitment to building a ganja-free society.
