Vijayawada: “Success in the aviation industry depends on professionalism, quick decision-making, effective communication and a thorough understanding of airport procedures,” said Waheed Shaik, Duty Supervisor at Air India and an alumnus of Andhra Loyola College, while addressing students at a seminar organised by the Department of BBA Aviation Management at Andhra Loyola College. Delivering a session on “Travel Formalities and Airport Essentials: International Passenger Journey from Documentation to Destination,” Waheed Shaik provided students with practical insights into every stage of international air travel. Vice Principal Fr M Arul Jothi, who inaugurated the seminar, underscored the importance of industry-oriented learning, stating that aviation professionals must possess discipline, efficiency and the ability to handle unexpected situations. Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Dr NA Francis Xavier said interaction with industry experts helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and workplace expectations. Earlier, Dr P Vasavi, Head of the Department of BBA Aviation Management, welcomed the gathering and said the seminar was organised to familiarise students with international airport operations.
