We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Alex Burroughs, an MEng student who recently won 1st Prize at the The Institution of Fire Engineers Graduate Lecture 2026. The IFE Graduate Lecture is a highly regarded national event that showcases the very best undergraduate research in fire engineering from universities across the UK. Alex’s research presentation impressed the judging panel and secured the top award, including the £1,000 first prize sponsored by OFR Consultants.
