Gloucester - Marcia Ann Thomas, 73, of Gloucester, MA, and Allison Park, PA, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026. Born on December 21, 1952 in Ithaca, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late Howard and Betty (Talley) Thomas. A fierce, compassionate leader, Marcia spent over thirty years in special education as a teacher, administrator, and consultant. from George Washington University, she served on the faculties of GWU and Duquesne University, worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and volunteered in retirement. She is survived by her daughters, Chelsea (Charlie) Waldo and Kelly Waldo; Tela; brother, Matthew Thomas; sister-in-law, Beverly Mays; and her extended family.
