“A lot of what I discovered are things that are completely opposite of what I have learnt from mainstream media about Religious Sisters,” Dr. Rachada said. “The Western media, especially, have often underrepresented and misrepresented, and in the worst cases, malrepresented the lives of Religious Sisters. Such media have often trivialized the lives of Religious Sisters,” he said. He said ‘Wisdom Calls’ is working to get stories of Catholic Sisters out on secular media, on local media, and on national and regional media. “SIGNIS Africa, bringing an entire continent and all the diverse cultures to SIGNIS, makes us so much richer, so much more able to serve in the mission, to support the church,” he said.
