Hyderabad: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday hit back at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi for questioning police action against protesting students in Delhi, asking if she knew her own party’s history before lecturing others. Responding to her query on whether student protesters faced treatment like terrorists, Kishan Reddy recalled that 369 students fighting for a separate state were shot dead during the first phase of the Telangana movement under Congress rule. He questioned whether those martyr students appeared as terrorists to the Congress leadership at the time. Kishan Reddy questioned whether Priyanka Gandhi saw their anguish or viewed them as terrorists. Furthermore, he highlighted that the Congress government imprisoned and tortured thousands of students fighting to save democracy during the Emergency.
