Originating in the 1970s and 80s, the pram race was initially held on roads in the area, with participants stopping at pubs for a pint at each venue. Now, the race takes an off-road route across the rugby club’s grounds and into the Furze Hill woodland, with pop-up bars providing drinks along the way. This year, a Junior Pram Race for 15 to 18-year-olds will also take place, offering soft drinks only. The day's activities will begin at 3pm with Children’s Wacky Races, followed by the main pram race.
