Net sales in this subsegment increased 98.8% to ¥17.7 billion ($111.1 million), up from ¥8.9 billion ($5.8 million) in the prior year period. These gains were driven by the strong launch of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and the Microsoft Store. Sales were also boosted by The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, alongside increased sales in catalog titles. Other titles released during the quarter include Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler 2 for Switch 2, Star Ocean: The Second Story A on Switch 2, and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. Square Enix said these numbers reflected "improved user activity" following the announcement of an expansion pack for Final Fantasy 14.
