Shivakumar on Tuesday assured that the Karnataka government would constitute a Commission for Nomadic and Tribal Communities within a month, stating that empowering marginalised communities was the government’s responsibility. “We have requested the government to constitute a Nomadic and Tribal Communities Commission, and a decision will be taken within a month. A request has been made for the establishment of a Nomadic and Tribal Communities Commission, and a decision will be taken within a month,” he said. He called upon tribal communities and the government to support each other, saying the government was committed to respecting their labour and contribution.
