Terra CO2, a technology company developing a low-carbon cement, has broken ground on a new headquarters and advanced materials testing and R&D facility at 1341 Avery St. in Golden. The facility is expected to significantly expand Terra’s R&D capabilities. Terra expects concrete pours to begin in August, with completion anticipated in the first quarter of 2027. Terra previously announced plans for the Golden headquarters in May, when it said the facility would include advanced materials-testing laboratories and expanded pilot-scale R&D facilities. The project represents an investment of more than $7 million in Terra’s Golden operations, according to a 2025 letter the company submitted to the City of Golden Economic Development Commission.
