Cricket Namibia will host a T20 tri-series from 28 August to 6 September, featuring South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the host nation in Windhoek. According to Cricket Namibia, in an announcement made last week on Friday, the initiative is being led by Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Zimbabwe Cricket, in partnership with Cricket Namibia, to strengthen collaboration among African cricket nations and create more competitive playing opportunities. Cricket Namibia, in the announcement, said the August FNB T20 Tri-Series will serve as the foundation for the launch of the Africa Cup in 2027. In support of cricket development across the continent, all profits generated from the FNB T20 Tri-Series will be donated to the Africa Cricket Association to help grow and strengthen cricket throughout Africa.
