Notably, the demolition of the existing Ramanuja Kootam, located beside the Bhadru’s shrine and used for preparing prasadam for the presiding deity, has commenced. The process of removing the Bhadru’s shrine, constructed nearly 47 years ago during the tenure of M Narasimha Rao as the temple’s Executive Officer, also commenced on Sunday. Preparations have also begun to remove the Vista Complex located in front of the western steps of the temple. With the temple expansion works now gathering momentum, shopkeepers have reportedly been verbally informed that the complex would be removed. The move is reportedly in line with instructions to expedite the removal of the Vista Complex as part of the ongoing temple development works.
