“While Rahul Gandhi is misleading people at the national level, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is doing the same at the State level,” alleged BJP national leader and party in-charge for Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy. He accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of staging political drama in Delhi to retain his party’s relevance and alleged that the Congress was opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls out of fear that bogus votes would be detected. Reddy made the remarks after inspecting the ongoing SIR exercise in Khammam Assembly constituency on Tuesday along with BJP district president Nelluri Koteswara Rao. Reddy alleged that the Congress was apprehensive that the SIR exercise would weed out bogus entries from electoral rolls. Turning to Telangana, the BJP leader accused the Congress government headed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of failing to fulfil its electoral promises.
