Kumuram Bheem Asifabad: District Collector K. Haritha on Tuesday distributed pension sanction letters to eligible tribal beneficiaries from selected villages in Tiriyani and Lingapur mandals under the Telangana Livelihoods Project at the Integrated District Collectorate conference hall.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the district administration is taking steps to ensure that all eligible tribal people receive old-age, widow, and disability pensions.
She added that the government is also working towards achieving 100% coverage of job cards, Aadhaar cards, bank accounts, and other welfare benefits for tribal communities.
The Collector urged beneficiaries to make full use of the welfare schemes and highlighted the importance of improving tribal health, ensuring child immunisation, providing food security cards, promoting skill development, and enhancing financial literacy among tribal families.
District Rural Development Officer Dattarao, Zilla Parishad CEO Lakshminarayana, District Panchayat Officer Bikshapathi, DPM Ramakrishna, sarpanches, and beneficiaries attended the programme.
