James Ronald Slaughter, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully with his youngest son by his side on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. James is preceded in death by his parents; his adoring wife, Cynthia Louise Allen Slaughter; and his eldest son, James Slaughter, Jr., and his younger brother, Jerry Slaughter. His memory will live in on in his son, Richard Slaughter; daughter-in-law, Trixy Slaughter; grandchildren, Christopher (Aurela) Slaughter and Kaitlyn (Colin) Glennen; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Rory-Anne Glennen and Lily Eileen Glennen; brother-in-law, Randy Allen; brothers, Larry Slaughter, Daryl Slaughter, and Keith Slaughter. He played football and baseball in high school and was a part of the 1964 state championship baseball team. He met the love of his life in high school and married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia.
