David (Dave) Sligar, 98, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, August 2nd, 2026. Dave was born October 5th, 1927, in Fremont County, Iowa to David and Ethyl (Lord) Sligar. In 1978 Dave moved to Alliance, Nebraska. Dave is survived by his wife Sandy of 40 years, daughter Tammie (Randy) Carpenter of Adel, Iowa, stepson William Kinser of Hemingford, Nebraska, stepdaughter Terri (Dave) White of Pasco, Washington. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 14th at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery in Alliance, Nebraska.
