Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh has taken a significant step towards next-generation cancer care, with global biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca India partnering with the state government to establish an Integrated Genomics Solutions Center in Amaravati, paving the way for India's first integrated precision oncology initiative. An MoU was signed between the Health Department and AstraZeneca India in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The precision oncology initiative will be developed through a partnership between Amaravati Quantum Valley and AstraZeneca India, positioning the emerging technology hub as a centre for advanced healthcare research and innovation. The Chief Minister also underlined the importance of expanding quantum research into pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare. He called for Amaravati Quantum Valley to become a major research hub not only for cancer but also for other critical diseases by bringing together genomics, artificial intelligence and advanced medical research.
