Hanumakonda: Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) Commissioner T. Venkanna on Tuesday said parks, central medians and grand entrances should reflect the city’s prestige and improve its overall appearance. During a surprise inspection of ongoing horticulture works, he reviewed projects at Public Gardens, Ellapur Nursery, Karimnagar Grand Entrance, Hasanparthy Animal Birth Control (ABC) Centre and the Arepalli–Mulugu Grand Entrance. At Ellapur Nursery, he reviewed preparations for Vanamahotsavam and instructed officials to keep healthy saplings ready. He also asked officials to enhance the Karimnagar Grand Entrance with ornamental and flowering plants to create a welcoming impression for visitors. At Hasanparthy ABC Centre and the Arepalli–Mulugu Grand Entrance, Venkanna inspected greenery, planted saplings and directed officials to speed up landscaping and maintenance works.
