The Apple Triathlon was also set to host the Age Group National Championships for the standard and sprint distance triathlons and Aquabike races along with the Junior and U23 Provincial Championships as part of the BC SuperSeries. The cancellation was made in consultation with the event’s partners, medical provider, Triathlon Canada, and Triathlon BC. With a quick pivot on behalf of Triathlon BC, the 2026 Triathlon BC Junior and U23 Provincial Championships have been re-scheduled and will now take place alongside the Vancouver T100 Triathlon on August 15th. The Junior and U23 Championships are a draft-legal super sprint triathlon for athletes ages 14-23 years of age. Triathlon BC expressed their gratitude to the Vancouver T100 team for promptly opening their race to allow the province’s top developing triathletes to take part in a premier triathlon event.
