The Victorian Government has announced $2 million in new grants to support mRNA research projects moving towards clinical trials as part of the mRNA Victoria Pipeline Program. Minister for Medical Research Anthony Carbines said the funding would support Victoria’s researchers as they work towards developing new vaccines and medicines. “We’re cementing Victoria as a global hub for medical research by backing our world-class researchers to advance the next generation of life-saving vaccines and medicines,” said minister for Medical Research Anthony Carbines. “Victoria’s investment in mRNA research is helping turn life-changing scientific ideas into the vaccines and treatments of the future.” The mRNA Victoria Pipeline Program forms part of the state’s broader efforts to support medical research and strengthen its position as a global centre for biotechnology and clinical development.
