Game engine and advertising platform developer Unity just experienced what is arguably its "best quarter ever," according to CEO Matthew Bromberg. This last quarter, Unity earned $546 million in total revenue, up 24 precent from $440 million during the same period in 2025. What drove Unity's revenue increase? Its game engine division "Create" did see a 2 percent year-over-year increase in revenue—but revenue from its "Grow" division rose 69 percent on the back of developer spending on Vector AI, the company's AI-driven advertising platform. It's worth noting that today's game developers are generally skeptical about generative AI's role in game development.
