It has been found in a new study that hematological and biochemical indicators measured during the second trimester may act as potential markers for Preeclampsia. Abnormalities in complete blood counts (CBCs), lipid profiles, and plasma glucose levels in the peripheral blood are associated with the development of preeclampsia (PE). However, the predictive value of these indicators for preeclampsia in the second trimester remains uncertain. This study aimed to investigate the predictive potential of hematological and biochemical indicators during the second trimester for preeclampsia. Blood indicators, including CBCs, lipid profiles and fasting plasma glucose (FPG) levels, were measured at 20–24 weeks of gestation.
