The US House of Representatives recently voted to link aid to measurable progress in addressing the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. A further $570 million will be channelled directly to faith-based and community hospitals through bilateral agreements with participating governments, including Nigeria. For Nigeria, the agreement places particular emphasis on Christian healthcare providers, describing them as “uniquely positioned” to complement public health services.
