He also thanked the Indian Army for its assistance to the people of Punjab during times of crisis, particularly during the recent floods. In response, the Chief of Army Staff assured the Punjab government of the Indian Army's continued commitment to nation-building and expressed appreciation for the state's policies supporting veterans. Officials said the meeting helped strengthen civil-military coordination in the region, building greater trust in jointly addressing internal security, border stability, disaster response and other emerging challenges.
