He commended the association for bringing senior citizens and artists together to commemorate Independence Day through music. Association President Vimal Trikha said the group felt Independence Day deserved to be marked through a dedicated musical tribute in memory of those who fought to free India from colonial rule. Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi attended the event as Guest of Honour, while Rajendra Sharma, Councillor from Ward 35, was present as Special Guest.
