Matthew Marsh, 33, began his offending on February 19 by stealing £140 worth of items from a store on Throne Road in Rowley Regis. Over the following months, he targeted three shops in the Rowley Regis area, stealing goods worth nearly £2,740. His crime spree ended on August 3 after he stole a bag of food from a shop and was later arrested on Union Street in Blackheath. PC Christopher Wickett from West Midlands Police's Sandwell Retail Crime Team said: "Behind every theft Marsh committed are staff and businesses which have been forced to bear the burden of his offending. "We hope this provides reassurance to businesses that we will continue to take robust action against those who target our community."
