A new partnership between Cumbria Farmer Network, Cumbria Community Foundation, the Food Farming and Countryside Commission and Cumbria Combined Authority aims to support farmer collaboration. The groups are seeking funding from DEFRA's Farmer Collaboration Fund (FCF), which backs farmer-led projects improving sustainability, productivity and resilience through collective working. The new initiative aims to build on this success by supporting existing clusters while encouraging the formation of new groups. The partnership is seeking three years' funding to strengthen existing farmer groups, create new ones and help participating farms develop stronger business plans for the future.
