The proposal for Langroyd Hall, a former pub and restaurant, was granted in July. "The focus on arrival is the front elevation of Langroyd Hall, which will be framed by a courtyard formed by the careful placement of the proposed development buildings." The development builds on previously approved plans from April 2020, which included conversion of the hall to a care facility and the construction of four residential blocks. Langroyd Hall was sold in 2023 by Trevor Dawson estate agent. Langroyd Hall Ltd was set up with the aim of purchasing it, and after being listed for sale, a GoFundMe page and a Facebook group were set up by Colne residents and members of Langroyd Hall Ltd, Molly Treen, Andrea Pickles, Brian Whitfield and Alan Whitehead.
