Guntur: Dr Mohana Rao Patibandla, a Guntur-based neurosurgeon, has been conferred with three awards for his research in minimally invasive spine surgery at the 26th PASMISS– 12th MISSABCON–5th COSSCON 2026 International Spine Surgery Conference held in Chennai. The conference brought together the Asian Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (PASMISS), the Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeons Association of Bharat Conference (MISSABCON), and the Chennai Ortho Spine Society Conference (COSSCON). Dr Patibandla was recognised for his research on minimally invasive approaches in spine surgery. His research focused on advanced minimally invasive neurosurgical approaches for complex craniovertebral junction disorders. In 2020, Dr. Patibandla founded Dr. Rao’s Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility in Guntur which provides advanced neurosurgical care.
