Jaipur: The Rajasthan health department has sealed a private hospital in Alwar after a pregnant woman died during a delivery allegedly conducted by a nursing staff member in the absence of a doctor, officials said on Friday. The incident occurred on August 4, in the absence of a doctor, a nursing staff member allegedly conducted the delivery of a pregnant woman, who later died, news agency PTI reported. Rathore said prompt and strict action was taken as soon as the incident came to notice. Rathore also emphasised the need for effective monitoring of maternal health services and early identification of high-risk pregnancies to ensure better healthcare delivery, officials added.
