A Macduff man’s puppy has escaped serious injury after he was believed to have been struck by a vehicle on Monday night. Mike Bruce’s five-month-old German Shepherd Zeus had escaped from his garden on Buchan Street before being hit by a vehicle, according to neighbours who witnessed it. The 65-year-old had to rush the pup to a vet in New Deer, where thankfully he escaped without any major issues. On Monday night, Mike had left his front door open, as he usually does, so his puppy can enjoy the weather. ‘He will have his confidence knocked now’Mike claims that Zeus was hit by a black pick-up truck escorting a combine harvester at around 7:30pm.
