PANJGUR: Security forces have killed five militants during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation was carried out on August 10 after intelligence indicated the presence of militants affiliated with what the ISPR refers to as “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
Security personnel conducted a targeted operation and killed five militants during the engagement, ISPR said.
Following the operation, security teams carried out a sanitisation exercise to ensure that no remaining threats were present in the area.
The military said security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue operations against what it described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism until the threat is eliminated.
